Remarks
|
(1) These dimensions may not be considered as absolute values. Limitations strongly depends on the ratio between width/diameter/height of the ware.
(2) During this preheating the kiln cover is removed from the kiln. This prevents that the temperature rised too quickly. When you fire the kiln multiple times a day this preheating is only recommended for the kiln at the first firing session. However for the ware itself you can decide to include this extra preheating time especially when you have applied the glaze just shortly before the firing. The indication of ≈ 0 means that the gas pressure is just enough to ignite the burner.
(3) The kiln cover is put on the kiln. This will lead to a higher temperature with the same gas pressure than the preheatin done without the kiln cover.
(4) Pressures are no absolute value's but indicative as they can vary with loading of the kiln and ambient conditions.
